Masonite Introduces new Barrington® Fiberglass Doors
Masonite is known worldwide for its quality building products. Thanks to a new “beauty in the details™” media campaign, consumers and builders alike may soon know a little more about Masonite’s product lines.

One of those products, available through all SBS stores in Alaska, is the new Barrington® fiberglass door collection. Combining the high performance of fiberglass doors with hardwood beauty, Barrington entry doors feature a custom glazing system, decorative glass designs, an optional dentil shelf kit, engineered stiles and a rot resistant bottom rail. An internal blocking system also promises a solid mounting surface for decorative hardware.
Masonite has one of the world’s largest private research and development facilities in the door industry. Located in Chicago and employing over 100 people, the facility is responsible for inventing new technologies and materials to use in future products. Advancements go way beyond today’s steel, composite, fiberglass and wood doors. Masonite has been a leader with authentic detail such as the beaded planks of the Cheyenne™ Palazzo™ raised moulding and the Barrington® and Belleville® designs and wood grain textures. As composite technologies continue to gain share in the market, Masonite’s authentic appearance in these product categories offer a competitive advantage.
The Barrington® fiberglass door collection includes the Barrington Craftsman and Barrington Sierra™ lines. The Sierra series is engineered to meet the design needs of the Southwest, Spanish or Mediterranean style home. It comes with a 2-Panel Camber Top design, with or without planks. Sierra doors also offer a unique, custom panel profile, Mahogany texture and the first-ever opaque (non-glazed) finish on a Barrington door. Matching full sidelite panels, with a choice of clear and three decorative glass designs also are available.
The Barrington Craftsman series complements mission or craftsman style architecture. It features three recessed panels and a unique one-lite glazing system. The door is factory glazed with a custom glazing system and profile that matches the panel design for an extra clean look. A matching one-panel/one-lite sidelite panel is available. For a simple, clean and classy look, the Barrington Craftsman can be ordered with three glazing options including a choice of two dramatic decorative specialty glass designs, or clear insulated glass.
