Malarkey Introduces New Plastic Shingle Wrap
Tired of wet, disorganized bundles of shingles lying around the job site? The distributors of Malarkey shingles heard that a lot in the past, so they’ve introduced a new, plastic shingle wrap process that keeps bundles of shingles together longer and makes them easier to store in the weather.
Traditionally, Malarkey had just wrapped its shingle bundles in paper wrappers, then had to put bundles inside plastic bags. The bags often flapped in the wind and piled up on the job site. A new machine now wraps each bundle in plastic, then seals it shut with heat. The wrappers also are easier to identify the product line and make it easier to transport the product to the roof. Once up on the roof, the shingles stay together and look good longer. “Some roofers like the new wrapping, others don’t care for the plastic, but we think in the long run, it’s a better way to go,” said Greg Malarkey, owner of Malarkey Shingles.
Malarkey Roofing Company enjoys a reputation for manufacturing some of the highest quality roofing products on
the market. Homeowners and contractors now stand to benefit from a major change to the Malarkey warranty brought on by an industry “warranty war.” The warranty program revamps the current system to provide a 30-year limited warranty on Highlander shingles, a 40-year limited warranty on Northwest shingles and a 50-year limited warranty on the Legacy shingles.
In addition to these changes, Malarkey now offers customers the option to apply another company's warranty to a Malarkey roofing product. Customers can do this with the satisfaction of knowing that Malarkey will stand behind its products, no matter what.
