SBS now carries DOW Styrofoam Weathermate Plus Housewrap. Designed for better job-site durability and long-term performance, this new, blue housewrap is a non-woven, non-perforated polyolefin-based wrap with better tear resistance and superior protection against Alaska’s weather.

Styrofoam Weathermate Plus protects from damaging bulk water and air infiltration, reduces drafts and increases home comfort. It keeps wood sheathings drier, reducing the potential for rot, degradation or energy loss. The product allows water vapor to escape from behind the housewrap when the vapor drive is from the inside out. It also reduces water vapor movement from the outside when the vapor drive is from the outside in.

Builders love the ease of installation with Styrofoam Weathermate Plus housewrap. Since it’s translucent, installers have a clear view of studs and the sheathing surface during installation. The housewrap resists UV degradation and can remain uncovered for up to 120 days.
