Metal siding, long used in the construction of warehouses, barns, equipment storage sheds and other commercial buildings, easily meets the challenges of Pacific Northwest strong winds, snowstorms and heavy rain requirements without compromising value or beauty. “This is the largest launch the industry has ever seen for this type of residential product,” said Scott St. Mary, General Manager for Metal Sales Manufacturing. “So we're pretty excited about it.” St. Mary added that new tooling equipment recently installed in its Kent, Washington manufacturing plant will allow contractors and home builders in the Alaska market to choose from metal siding in seven colors options, and the 16-inch standard widths will be available in 29 and 26-standard gauge, with a 24-gauge also available. Custom lengths are available in lengths of up to 40-feet. All seven colors are wood grain embossed and matching accessories are available. The siding also offers interlocking panels with excellent expansion and contraction and the look of wood siding with the durability of gauged steel in a triple, wide-lapped design. The extra smooth, galvanized siding includes a long-term warranty, and all panels are low-gloss with a topcoat designed to resist staining and abrasions. BaySide Metal Siding also has Zincalume (for corrosion protection) and Metal Sales' patented coating system make BaySide the best choice for enduring the rigors of the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. St. Mary said installing BaySide Metal Siding is easy with a pre-punched, hidden fastener design. Additionally, Metal Sales will custom cut the panels to eliminate the costly and time-consuming process of end lapping.
