Weber® 2005: A Whole New
Look and Design
If you’ve been to the local SBS store lately, you may have noticed that barbecue grills have a whole new look. Weber has outdone itself with this year’s showcase of new and redesigned grill products that combine the professional-quality features desired by today’s at-home chefs with the reputation and reliability buyers have come to expect from Weber.
As a leader and innovator in charcoal grills, it comes as no surprise that Weber has introduced a restyled Weber Performer™ grill. This enhanced grill features a taller-profile, Touch-N-Go™ gas ignition, and a heavy-duty steel cart with a thermoset work table. The grill also has a larger capacity Char-Basket™ fuel holder that stores up to 20 pounds of charcoal and tilts out for easier access.
Two new grills complete the existing Genesis® line of gas grills. The Genesis Platinum B and C three-burner
models feature a significant upgrade to include stainless steel work tables with stainless steel inserts and commercial-grade stainless steel Flavorizer® bars plus fully enclosed cabinets.
Also new for 2005, Weber has introduced six feature-rich models as part of its new Summit® Platinum line. This is a grill for champions. The sleek stainless steel frames, double-walled hoods with stainless exterior and coordinating cast-aluminum end caps give the Summit Platinum line a whole new modern and cutting-edge look. The Summit Platinum line is available in four-burner 44,000 BTUs-per-hour input and six-burner 57,600 BTUs-per-hour input models. The six-burner models include an additional rear-mounted 9,600 BTU-per-hour input infrared rotisserie burner and a spit fork rotisserie with a heavy-duty motor. All grills feature a stainless steel hood, cooking grates, Flavorizer® bars and enclosed cart, as well as extra large knobs, electronic Crossover® ignition, Limited Lifetime Warranty and a Weber Cookbook.
For those who already have the grill technology covered, there is another new product of note from Weber. The Weber Flame™ outdoor fireplace. It’s a slight deviation from the standard grill-motif, but a great idea for expanding to other areas of outdoor cooking. The Weber Flame combines the ambiance and warmth of a high-end outdoor fireplace with the ease and convenience of gas. Ideal for patios, large decks and backyards, it includes lava rock and eight moveable fiber/ceramic logs to create a realistic and comforting flame. Key features include a heavy-duty base, two all-weather crack-proof wheels and push button ignition. Three removable weather screens offer protection from the elements.
