The transition to more eco-friendly lighting options continues at SBS. More than half of the fixtures you’ll find in our stores these days are compact fluorescent compatible. This change is in response to a massive energy bill passed in December of 2007 that began phasing out the sale and use of traditional incandescent light bulbs in favor of more energy efficient CFL and LED bulbs. Experts predict that as soon as 2010, national building codes will change to begin restricting the use of incandescent bulbs.
