Specific features include locking shelf clips that add security, but are made from clear plastic that blends with the cabinet exterior. Shelves are made of 5/8-inch thick adjustable shelves with durability and no sagging or warping. A concealed self-closing hinge has a lifetime warranty and gives the cabinet an appearance that doesn’t conflict with decorative hardware. The door automatically closes when it is within inches of the frame. The cabinets have easy-to-clean interiors that are impervious to moisture and staining, so no shelf liners are needed. Triangular braces in the corners give added strength and help to maintain the squareness of each cabinet. Meanwhile, Merillat’s sidemount Whisper Glide drawer guides offer smooth opening and closing, as well as a lifetime guarantee. Drawers are made 1/2-inch thick vinyl laminated particleboard while end panels are made of 3/8-inch thick, sturdy laminated furniture board.
