A new generation of lithium-ion batteries allow the 36-Volt line to offer two to three times the run time of 18-volt tools and double the power. They’re also lighter than similar corded tools, and offer equal performance without the hassle of a cord.
Officially unveiled at the International Builder’s Show in 2006, the 36-volt tools are an exclusive for DeWalt, the industrial power tool brand of The Black & Decker Corporation.
