Environmentally Devoe-ted

Devoe Paint recently announced the re-launch of Wonder-Pure and Regency Interior, two of its most important paint brands. The new and improved products can now be used for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) projects and customers can feel confident knowing that they are buying products that are better for the environment.

Concern over indoor air quality has grown in recent years and most people have agreed that volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are harmful for the environment. In response, Devoe Paint latex products have been reduced to a VOC level of less than 50 grams per liter, making all of the company’s latex products compliant with even the strictest regulations in place.

Wonder-Pure Interior No-Voc Paint features zero VOC technology. It also is free of paint odor and is less likely to cause allergic sensitivity. The product provides a durable, long-lasting and beautiful finish. It can be applied by brush, roller or spray and because it dries fast, it can be applied in areas that need to be re-occupied quickly. SBS sells a variety of Wonder-Pure interior paints including flat, eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss and primer in a full color range. New additions include a gloss sheen and an accent base. Wonder-Pure meets LEED and MPI Green Performance standards.

Regency is Devoe’s finest quality, 100% Acrylic latex wall and trim finish. The new and improved product has been formulated with Microsphere Technology for better washability (microspheres help make a paint film harder and better at standing up to washing and scrubbing). That means it’s ideal for durable, wear-resistant areas. Regency interior latex comes in flat, eggshell, satin and semi-gloss formulas. New additions include a satin sheen never offered before, and flatter sheens in the flat and eggshell paints. The semi-gloss also resists blocking so that doors, windows and cabinets won’t “stick.” All of the Regency interior paints result in a smooth finish and a mildew resistant coating. They’re also backed by Regency’s lifetime warranty.

Devoe pioneered latex paint in 1948 and was the first to launch no VOC conventional latex paints in the U.S. in the early 1990s.
