Yard - Warehouse - Receiving

Job Duties
To receive merchandise, verify counts, fill out required documentation and distribute to proper locations.

Accept incoming merchandise.
Check bill of lading and verify piece count. Note discrepancies or damage.
Unload freight paperwork utilizing packing units, purchase order copies, etc.
Operate forklifts and other equipment in a safe manner.
Keep work area organized, clean and free of hazards.
Immediately report any maintenance needs or unsafe conditions.
May assist in loading, unloading and delivery of materials.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Must have forklift experience. Able to perform heavy lifting (80 pounds occasionally and/or 50 pounds frequently and/or 25 pounds constantly). Familiarity with building materials preferred. Company provides safety glasses, earplugs, optional back brace, goggles and ice cleats. Employee provides cut/puncture resistant gloves, safety-toed, slip-resistant shoes, arctic clothing and insulated gloves.
